It’s funny—I know that writing a screenplay is going to be difficult. It’s completely removed from the prose I’ve been writing lately, and I’m starting to worry that maybe I should have done a little more prepwork, but… I’m really looking forward to it.

Admittedly, I took it pretty easy the first seven days—I’m still getting myself into the proper mindset, and getting ready to tackle the bigger things. So most of my week involved reading.
The first piece of long fiction I ever finished was a screenplay. It wasn’t very good—fifteen-year-olds who watch too many foreign films shouldn’t be allowed near keyboards—but, for a long time, it was the only thing I’d written that was more than a couple of pages long.

Recently
Of the past one hundred days, I’ve spent nearly eighty living out of boxes and suitcases. I spent November with limited internet access and no phone connectivity. I can’t count of the days lost to packing, and moving, and unpacking. I’m still not properly settled.
