When I first started this project, I’d planned to sit down every six months or so, go over what I’d accomplished, and what I hoped to accomplish. A thousand days is a long time, after all, and I fully expected some of my long-term goals to shift in that time. I also knew I’d need an occasional kick in the pants to keep myself on track. The last several weeks, I’ve been… languishing, I suppose. When I hit day one-hundred this past week, I decided that I’d be wise to shift that six-month review to every 100 days.
I’m feeling better already.
My long-term goals haven’t really changed much. Not that I really expected them to at this point. But I’m a little clearer on the short-term goals that I can tackle in the next hundred days or so that’ll help move everything forward.
Aside from that, I spent most of this past week going over the various writing communities that I’d bookmarked, looking at them in more depth, trying to find the ones that suit my needs. I’ve decided on a couple, now, and I’m giving them a trial-run, to see if they’re what I’m looking for.
I’m feeling a lot more energized about the whole thing.
